JIMMY MARS HEADS TO KNOXVILLE
THIS WEEKEND!

(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) The Mars Racing team headed down the
road to the nearby Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin
last weekend (September 25-26) for the annual running of the
'Punky Manor Challenge of Champions.' This year's version
of the historic race paid $4,000 to the winner. Jimmy Mars,
who is a four-time winner of the 'Punky Manor,' started last
in his heat race and advanced up to the fourth spot. After
then rolling off from the inside of the eighth row in the
A-Main on a track that featured little to no passing, Jimmy
worked his way by four cars en route to an eleventh place

The #28 team will now slide their attention to the 6th annual
running of the 'Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals.'
The immaculate Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa will host
the big purse mega-event this weekend. A pair of $7,000 to
win preliminary shows will kick off the weekend on Thursday
and Friday, while the $40,000 to win, $2,500 to start 'Lucas
Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals' will headline the weekend
on Saturday night, October 3. The cameras of the SPEED Channel
will be on hand throughout the October 1-3 weekend to tape
the wheel-to-wheel competition at the 1/2-mile venue for broadcast
