MARS PREPS FOR HECTIC SCHEDULE FOLLOWING ELDORA!

(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) The Mars Racing team invaded the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 11-12 for the 39th Annual 'World 100.' During the two-lap qualifying session on Friday night, Jimmy Mars laid down the thirty-third quickest lap of the 172 entrants, which earned him the pole position in his heat race. When the 'World 100' program resumed on Saturday evening, Jimmy ran second in his stacked heat race behind winner Bart Hartman.

After starting ninth in the $42,000 to win 'World 100,' Jimmy was hovering around the top ten when he ducked into the pit area during an early caution period. Body damage had caused a tire problem on the #28 and the crew went to work on the MB Customs machine on pit road. Unfortunately, they were still in the pits when the field went green for the restart and Jimmy retired from the race in the twenty-seventh position.
