JIMMY MARS RACKS UP TWO MORE
VICTORIES!
Posted September 3, 2009
(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) The Mars Racing team recorded their
thirteenth and fourteenth wins of the 2009 racing season last
week in their home state of Wisconsin! On Wednesday night,
August 26, the #28 team dropped into the Manitowoc County
Expo Raceway in Manitowoc, Wisconsin to partake in their yearly
fair race. Jimmy Mars won his heat race and later started
fifth in the main event. In front of a large crowd and many
Baileigh Industrial employees, Jimmy took the lead with only
four laps to go in the feature and held on to capture the
victory.
Next up for the team was a trip to the nearby Red Cedar Speedway
in Menomonie, Wisconsin on Friday evening, August 28 for another
weekly WISSOTA show. Jimmy once again won his heat race in
preliminary action and later rolled off from the outside of
the front row in the A-Main. The Menomonie native took the
lead at the drop of the green flag in the feature and led
wire-to-wire en route to the convincing win. You can view
complete results from these two races by visiting www.ewscracing.net

"It is always great to race around home in front of
a bunch of family and friends," quoted Mars earlier this
week. "It was important for us to make it to Manitowoc
to support Baileigh Industrial and thank them for all that
they do for our program. We were able to run our MasterSbilt
from Mars car a couple of times, test a few things, and give
some feedback to all of our drivers that race our cars. Hopefully,
we can find similar success when we venture back out on the
road this weekend at Fairbury and Eldora!"
The #28 team will now turn their attention to a pair of Dirt
Late Model events over the busy Labor Day holiday weekend.
The 'Prairie Dirt Classic' at the Fairbury American Legion
Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois is up first on Saturday, September
5. The annual UMP extravaganza will once again pay $10,000
to the winner. The weekend finale for the Mars Racing team
will then take place on Sunday, September 6 at the famed Eldora
Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The Sunoco ALMS Series will sanction
a $3,000 to win race at the "Big E" on Sunday, which
will serve as the final tune-up to next weekend's 'World 100.'
