MARS TO RACE LOCALLY THIS WEEKEND
FOLLOWING K-C
Posted August 26, 2009
(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Jimmy Mars and his #28 Dirt Late Model
team trekked to the Buckeye State of Ohio on Friday and Saturday,
August 21-22. The K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio played
host to the 'Buckeye 100,' which was sanctioned by the World
of Outlaws Late Model Series and paid $20,000 to the winner.
On Friday night, Jimmy timed in sixth fastest in WOOLMS qualifying
and later ran third in his stacked heat race.
When the dirt-slinging action continued on Saturday evening,
Jimmy started the 100-lap 'Buckeye 100' from the outside of
the fifth row. He was running in the ninth spot when he was
caught up in a wreck following an early race restart. The
#28 MB Customs / Pro Power entry suffered too much damage
to continue and Jimmy was relegated to a disappointing twentieth
place finish. You can view complete results from K-C online
at www.worldofoutlaws.com.
The Mars Racing team will stick close to home this week and
compete in a pair of local Dirt Late Model races. They will
be in action tonight, August 26 at the Manitowoc County Expo
Raceway in Manitowoc, Wisconsin and on Friday, August 28 at
the nearby Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin. You
