(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Jimmy Mars reached the double digit
win plateau on Friday night, July 3 at the nearby Red Cedar
Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin! The 'Firecracker 40' was
held at Red Cedar and a $2,000 top prize was up for grabs.
Jimmy finished third in his heat race and later started the
40-lap feature event from the outside of the front row. The
Menomonie native took the lead early in the A-Main and held
off all challengers for his tenth win of the 2009 racing season!
Following a day off to celebrate Independence Day with family
and friends, the Mars Racing team trekked to the Eagle Valley
Speedway in Jim Falls, Wisconsin on Sunday, July 5. The Dart
Challenge Series invaded EVS on Sunday and another $2,000
winner's check was on the line. Jimmy started eighth in the
main event and quickly moved up to the fourth spot before
the track took rubber. After the racetrack turned one-groove,
he was forced to ride in line and finished in the fourth position.

"It is always fun to race in front of your family, friends,
and fans, especially during a holiday weekend," commented
Mars earlier in the week. "I was also able to spend some
time with a lot of clients over the weekend at Red Cedar and
Eagle Valley, helping them tune on their racecars. Another
benefit of racing around home was to get our equipment ready
for the upcoming Wild West Tour with the World of Outlaws.
I enjoy racing against those guys, especially when they come
to our part of the country!"
