Posted June 17, 2009
(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) The Mars Racing team picked up wins
four and five of the 2009 racing season last weekend (June
12-13) in their home state of Wisconsin! On Friday night at
the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin, Jimmy Mars
finished third in his heat race and later rolled off fifth
on the grid in the main event. At his hometown venue in the
A-Main, Jimmy grabbed the lead early and never looked back
in claiming the $1,000 top prize over Jake Redetzke, John
Kaanta, Ashley Anderson, and Cory Mahder.
The Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin took center
stage on Saturday evening, as the renowned facility hosted
another $1,000 to win weekly show. Jimmy won his heat race,
but had to start twelfth in the feature event. The Menomonie,
Wisconsin native methodically worked his way to the front
of the field and narrowly edged Rick Egersdorf at the checkers
to record the exciting victory. You can view complete results
