MARS SCORES TOP FIVE FINISH IN DIAMOND NATIONALS!

(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Jimmy Mars and his #28 team traveled to the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on May 8-9 for the third annual running of the 'SuperClean Diamond Nationals.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned the annual mega-event, which boasted a hefty $30,000 payday. Mother Nature wiped out qualifying on Friday night, which meant that the entire show was run on Saturday, May 9.

The Menomonie, Wisconsin native qualified well and later ran second in his competitive heat race. In front of the SPEED Channel cameras in the 75-lap main event, Jimmy got up to as high as the second spot from his twelfth starting position. When the checkered flag fell over the stout field, Jimmy was fourth in line behind winner Brian Birkhofer, Dale McDowell, and Billy Moyer.
