MARS RACING HEADS EAST TO BEDFORD/HAGERSTOWN!
Posted April 23, 2009
(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) The Mars Racing team competed locally
last weekend (April 17-18) at the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie,
Wisconsin and at the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond,
Wisconsin. On Friday night at Red Cedar, Jimmy Mars won his
heat race and later started ninth in the A-Main. Jimmy was
making a charge up through the field in the feature before
clipping a ridge and spinning to a fifteenth place finish.
Things went much smoother for the #28 team on Saturday evening
at Cedar Lake. After running second in his heat race, Jimmy
tightened up his belts looking for his first win of the 2009
racing season. Sporting a strong racecar in the A-Main, the
Menomonie, Wisconsin native fell just shy of that first victory,
as he finished second to winner John Kaanta. You can view
complete results from both venues by accessing www.redcedarracing.com
and www.cedarlakespeedway.com.
Next up for the #28 team will be a trip to the Bedford Speedway
in Bedford, Pennsylvania on Friday, April 24 and the Hagerstown
Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on Saturday, April 25. Both
events will pay $10,000 to the winner and will be sanctioned
by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. To view additional
