AT PIKE COUNTY!!!
Posted March 28, 2008
(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) The Mars Racing team is scheduled
to debut their own equipment for the first time in '08 at
the Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, Mississippi this weekend.
The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will sanction the 'March
Through Dixie 100' on March 28-29 at the southern Mississippi
speedplant. The two-day show will be highlighted by a $20,000
to win, 100-lap feature event on Saturday night, March 29.
Jimmy Mars was victorious in his last visit to Pike County,
as he took home the $30,000 top prize in the annual 'Jambalaya
100' last November! More information concerning this race
is available online at www.worldofoutlaws.com!
Although Jimmy has not competed in his own equipment in 2008,
he has piloted Jess Anderson's #H2 car on six different occasions
at the Central Arizona Raceway and the Las Vegas (NV) Motor
Speedway. In those six races, Jimmy has reached victory lane
on three different occasions, while racking up five Top Five
finishes!
"I am really excited about getting back to Pike County
this weekend," quoted Mars recently. "We have had
a couple of good runs down there in years past including the
Jambalaya 100 win last year. The entire Mars Racing team has
worked diligently over the off-season and hopefully that hard
work will pay off this weekend!"
